What Do Casino Bloggers think of Red Dog?

Red Dog Poker is not as popular as it used to be. There are not as many land-based casinos that have the game anymore, but it can be found quite easily online. It was once a semi-popular game that I recall playing with friends more than in a casino. We called it “in betweens” and the version we played could cost you your shirt in a hurry.

The casino version pays out different odds depending on the spread of the two post cards. The house edge is 3.155% so it’s not the worst bet in the house, but there aren’t many professional Red Dog players. I consider the game a fun option when I want to sit and not have to think about playing very much. It’s not a game I would play with regularity, and I would look to walk away from any session where I double my buy-in.
